"Actor/heartthrob Ryan Gosling was deejaying the event "Burberry in LA", with some assistance. "I'm a total amateur," he confessed. "I just try to keep my hands busy. You know what they say about idle hands." Gosling tended his mitts to some vinyl and went on to explain that he'd grown up listening to doo-wop bands like the Shangri-Las and the Dixie Cups. "They said I could pretty much play what I like," he said. "And you never hear this stuff when you're out, so I figured I'd play doo-wop. It wasn't like I thought, oh yeah—doo-wop and Burberry, that's a natural." Hey, in this city, anything goes. "
