Last Projects

Recently, he appeared in a play called "The Mistakes that Madeline made" by Elizabeth Meriwether, which was performed in Denver last summer. You can read the reviews of the play:
"Zach Shields, Triptych Theatre's "The Mistakes Madeline Made": This was the show Jamie Wollrab staged with a cast of up-and-coming young film and TV stars who came to Boulder to work on their stage craft. It's the story of Edna, who develops ablutophobia (a fear of bathing) after her war correspondent brother returns home in a body bag. Shields spends the play as a figment in her bathtub. I didn't review the show but in a (requested) correspondence with the creative team, I opined: "The character/actor who was outstanding and above all reproach was Buddy/Zach Shields. It was also obvious (to my eye anyway) that he was the most experienced stage actor, and frankly the disparity was so wide he kind of left everyone else in the dust." Wrote the Daily Camera's Mark Collins: "Zach Shields is explosive." - Credit
"She's also suffering from the death of her brother (Zach Shields, not given enough background in the script), a journalist traumatized by his experiences in Iraq. His reaction - and hers - is to stop bathing." - Rocky Mountain News.
"Seacat's performance is steady and grounded, while Zach Shields, as Edna's brother, Buddy, is explosive. Justin Chatwin ("War of the Worlds") plays Wilson, Edna's officemate, with lots of nervous energy, and generates laughs along the way. Johnny Lewis ("The O.C.") plays three of Edna's pickups, and hits the mark most as a goofy rapper wannabe." - Boulder Daily Camera
